BIOGRAPHY - GO GENRE EVERYTHING History Go Genre Everything Since its inception, GGE have played as many shows as have been possible to organise in Melbourne, as well as touring Tasmania and New Zealand. The first album was recorded and manufactured in 2004 and launched with the spectacular Dinosaur Show on August 28th of that year. Five individual and unique GGE badges have been produced to date, with the help of Stay Human. GGE have also been steadily building their subscriber support base (for more info see subscription). Biographies Jen Jen is the drummer and she plays keyboard and sings too. Zach Zach plays guitar and also sings. Dr Offchopsky Walters Professor of applied humourology. Dieter von Broumler Manager of external relations and AI. Cat Fridgelix Cat Fridgelix is the hyperbole controllator and pyrotechnics advisor to Go Genre Everything, as well as performing stunts whenever necessary. A widely accomplished human being, Cat has worked in many parts of the world with a range of performance artists and musicians. Highlights of her career include working as lighting director for the acclaimed noise-art outfit 'The Varrnished Puuz' from Germany, performing in the fireworks show 'Hand Me That Powertool' which took place on a boat anchored off the shore of Holland, and manufacturing the ropes and rigging for the 'Green Beans Circus' who are currently touring Indonesia. She also freelances writing outrageous press releases for musicians, although she favours the more hands on element of her work and at the moment is working on new pyrotechnics safety features in order to incorporate larger explosions into her solo performances. Christiana Heritage Archivist extraordinaire, Christiana is always following around one or another of the GGE team in order to experience 'history in the making' as she puts it. No over the top idea, crazy plan or ridiculous venture mentioned by one of the team escapes her notice. They are all neatly filed away in the GGE archive cave in a secret location known only to a few. Christiana has qualifications in audiovisual archiving and information management and a wealth of practical experience in the construction and administration of temperature and humidity controlled environments. She has been in charge of GGE's ever growing art and music archive since 2002, as well as offering her services as a consultant to a number of poverty-stricken artists in the Melbourne region. Dark Black Spiritual advisor. Bitter Pink Bitter Pink has history in the more balletic and operatic art forms, being given to melodrama and genuine expressive weirdness. She worked on the music hall performance 'Mouse in the Dollhouse' which toured Europe for 3 years in the early 1990s, before hearing about some of the earlier incarnations of Go Genre Everything, and collaborating with the then fledgling GGE team on a Tasmanian multimedia extravaganza in 1998. She has been an on and off GGE collaborator since that time, adding an extra level of hysteria and over-ambitious mania to the GGE team whenever needed. Extavator Fraunchly The style, the aroma, the pizzaz, the mystique of Go Genre Everything; all these are the result of Extavator's dazzling vision. Head of costume and atmospherics. |
