Go Genre Everything

Ok so it looks like Go Genre Everything will be playing a bunch of gigs in the near future. Nice to get live again.

Tuesday July 8th at the Tote. It's a tuesday! And we're on at 8pm! Rock n roll! Gig lineup has been updated to include Undecided by Default and the Swedish Magazines apparently. It's cheap beer night too. Apparently shocking hangover quality beer though.

Also the "Go Electro Live Show Everything" (Gelse) experience will be playing at the After Dark on Thursday July 24th with Grist and BJ Morriszonkle. That means keyboards and effects and our good selves and no drums or guitar. Though maybe some light percussion? Tis hard to leave ALL the percussion at home.

Friday August 8th GGE are playing at the Edinburgh Castle with Scratchplate (Dimitra from Aux Assembly) and another band to be confirmed.

Without being to presumptuous, it looks as if the radically remastered super psychadelic eccectrical impressario that is the CMOPU ( http://www.gogenreeverything.org/cmopu/CMOPU.html ) Super launch video Featuring giant sushi, brains on sticks (thanks Xtian and Lady Hannah Cadaver) a bit of a dancing henri (less said the better) dinosars (on stick again) and far too much footage filmed of the guitarr guy, and not enough of the drummer is finished .

The other day Al said to GGE that he had decided to put together an animated videoclip for a song from the album EYCC (recorded by Simon Grounds out soon thru Spanish Magic) and do you know what, he did.

Its lovely to see such an approachable visual message for such a complicated piece of music as Plastic Friends, why the title alone is enough to give a sane person shivers down the spine.

With the Meaning of Meaning Conclusively Determined to be Meaning, Go Genre Everything now Embark on a Mission to create and re-enforce the true and highly determined meaning of Meaning, itself.

This is a two part informative post with an adendum, at the moment.
firstly, the follow up to the party is this.
Turns out that one of the cheaper no-name preamplifier components has failed, and is un-repairable.
It was probably malfunctioning during the party performance, however the malfunction causes distortion, and so possibly wasn't noticed.

many of you might think this is good, and we will be recording the sounds and putting them to the audio section for your investigation and later misuse.

gge played warehouse party not moments ago,.. hours ago and it was rather an interesting experience.

but also as well as that there was some juvenile flaming hula hoopist, totally unrelated to gge but did a performance just before, while the dj went sick with raggamuffincrumpetbreaksjunglefrump.

The night will be a GGE super marathon with everything GGE all night .

The highlight, will be the improvised recording which we will be posting on the internet for subscribers, mixed and mastered, the evening following the Subscriber Drive.

Hey the gig at Bar open the other night was really awesome. Thanks to everyone who came. Really felt the warm glow of GGE appreciation in the room. And thanks to everyone who played. Got the community music vibe going for sure. And thanks Adrian for organising the whole thing in the first place. Wicked. And thanks to Toby for mixing up a storm.

GGE are playing a show at Bar Open on Thursday December 27th. Yay! Not sure who with yet. The indefatigable Mr Adrian O is on to it.
Also we are playing January 6th at BarOpen again and January 10th at the Old Bar. More about this soon. Ramping up to more regular shows again for 2008.

GGE are playing at 8:00 ish, and it cost nothing, so now you know.

Its been an interesting year for GGE 2007.
So far.
One of the things which everybody noticed is that GGE stopped playing so many gigs.

When I think about that sometimes i feel a little bit sad, as if it meant that GGE would always be playing less concerts.

This is totally untrue.
GGE are merely undergoing intensive training and de-programming to ready the Go Genre Everything system for more complex manifestations.

Hey there is new music up and it's You're not on a motorbike backwards and we all think it's great. I want to know what yous think of it. Should we learn to play all our songs backwards? hahyeah!
