Hey there people,
Recently one of the GGE operatives had a quick listen as a certain well known music blogger suggested that there is a perfectly good English word to use in place of the word Genre. (Which is from the French language).
This Idea intrigued GGE to the extent that this article has occurred
In response, after extensive consultation with inexperts, we have to report that, the word genre, although from the French is no more or less of the English language than suicide and genocide (which has now been replaced by euphemistic Zone Brains by the more spin friendly terms, "Personal Cleansing" and Ethnic Cleansing" respectively, though please don't be a Zone Brain!)or even the words beef and pork.
It is also important to note the extensive prevalence around the planet of the use of the English language, and the importance it has to so many people and the decline of local languages in favour of the elite dialect (see any linguistics book)
It is argued that as people are forced to use English in order to survive it is
"Bullshit"
to attempt to keep out words from other languages having a ""Fair Go"" at being part of the 'Elite Dialect' (though French is far from a struggling little spoken dialect, this being a principle thing)
Also the word 'Genre' stems from the word 'Generic' where it is used as the noun of the adjective, meaning "a thing which is generic" thus the name Go Genre Everything, can also be translated as "(to)Go (all the) Generic Things" though it lacks the Imperative of the command "Go (now All) Generic (things)" and does not express the grammar destructive nature of high spirits and passion "Go!!^%&$%#$^*$$Everything)
In some ways it is a tautology, though I digress.
